The catalogue total is not what every suite ships. A tool only lands in a suite when the
builder produced an asset for it, so the older suites carry a fraction of the newest ones —
quoting one number for all nine would overstate what you get. Counted straight from the
published Packages indexes on every rebuild, so this table cannot drift from the
archive.

Where Debian itself already ships a tool at its latest upstream version, we stop publishing that suite and hand it back — Debian's copy is current and carries full Debian QA. Every other suite keeps shipping and the package is not retired, so nobody loses a route to the current version. These are wins: each one is a suite this channel no longer has to cover.
